Born in Paris in 1941, Jane always had an inquisitive mind, and an interest in medicine. Her parents had thought that she would become a nurse, but she had somewhat loftier goals and instead of going to nursing school, she enrolled in medical school, where she specialized in forensic pathology. In 1969 she was in a near fatal car accident and ended up being brought to the same hospital that she worked at. One of the emergency room doctors happened to be a vampire, and when he realized that he was about to lose her, he instead turned her. She arrived in Sangue Collina in 2011 and got a job as the night time coroner. A job that puts her into the unique position of being able to cover up the occasional fatal vampire feeding, as well as the rare disappearing "corpses" of the recently turned. Two months ago she met and fell in love with Esther Rivers, a mortal lawyer under the protection of Elijah Cavendish. The two women enlisted the help of another vampire to fake Esther's death and frame Elijah's Sire for it.
